Ingredients
1 3- pound chicken, cut up
1-2 cups chicken broth, as desired
2 Tbs Flour
1 tsp Salt
4 Tbs olive oil
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup orange juice
½ cup raisins
¼ cup almonds, slivered or ground
¼ tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp cloves
Directions
Dust chicken with flour and salt. Saute onions for several minutes then add chicken pieces. When chicken is browned, add remaining ingredients. Cook gently, covered, about 40 minutes until chicken is tender.

This recipe is missing orange zest. It should have crazy zest.
ReplyDeleteBrian is right, the zest adds zing. We just made this again and I added a cinn. stick to the sauce and more ground cinn. Threw in some craisons too. Also, it's one of those dishes that tastes even better the next day.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I like to add carrots - adds to flavor of sauce, color, and texture.
